EDLD 5303: Applying Ed Tech: Portfolio

In this course, we were introduced to ePortfolios and COVA. This course set the tone for what would consistently be expected of me throughout the program. I used ePortfolios in my innovation plan, so this also helped my thought process and approach to learning new things. I was also introduced to blogging and the importance of reflection.

EDLD 5305: Disruptive Innovation

This is where I created my innovation plan of implementing ePortfolios in dance class. I conducted research and wrote a literature review on the benefits of ePortfolios for High School students, a Call to Action to speak to the hearts of others in order for them to better see the benefits, an innovation proposal, implementation outline and a annotated biography.

EDLD 5304: Leading Organizational Change

People want to know that they work with and for people that care. Being a self-differentiated leader means being the emotional immune system of the organization. When I think about immune systems, I think of my own when I first started teaching. I was so sick all of the time because my immune system was weak. I had to take care of myself and build my immune system. It is the same thing for being the leader in an organization. Leaders build relationships with the people that they work with and create bonds. They also have great communication skills. What I’ve learned in this course is that conversation is a key part of having successful relationships in personal life and in leading. I plan on using the methodologies or crucial conversations and being a differentiated leader to help my Innovation Plan.

EDLD 5302: Concepts of Educational Technology

 In this course, I was still getting used to being in charge of my own learning and ensuring tha tI am creating authentic work. I learned to give myself grace and remain welcoming to new ideas and change. My Innovation Plan and my Blogs are just two examples of my authentic creations. I worked on developing a learner's mindset. This is partly because I was responsible for creating a Growth Mindset Plan in this course.

EDLD 5313: CSLE


The first assignment that I completed was A New Culture of Learning. This was probably one of the most challenging assignments for me as I shared ways on how I plan on implementing change in a way that enhances learning and growth . In my Learning Philosophy, which was my second assignment, I learned and explained how to create a space for all types of learners and connecting them. I also learned of the beliefs of the different learning theories and connect with many of them, however, I connected with constructivism the most.  I also developed a BHAG, "students will create an authentic e-portfolio that will show their progress in dance I class throughout the year, their collaboration with their peers, their creativity as an individual, and their reflection on themselves as a learner," and a 3 column table that would allow me to work backwards to ensure my lessons were aligned.

EDLD 5389: Developing Effective Professional Learning

In this course, we discussed how Professional Development sessions are not as effective as they could be. I created a course timeline, materials and an overview of what an effective PD would consist of that was aligned with my innovation plan on Implementing ePortfolios in my dance classroom.

EDLD 5315 Assess Digital Learning

We started off with our Action Research Design Outline that would help us create our Action Research Plan. This plan would allow us to work backwards to find ways to implement our ideas into our learning environments. I created a publication rough draft, that would allow me to reflect on the feedback provided.

EDLD 5317: Resources Digital Environments

We created a publication outline where we would write about a lesson that we wanted to share with other educators in hopes that they learned from our information. I referenced my Innovation plan in order to think about what I wanted to focus on in my future publication. We had to consider places we would like to publish our work as well and research the requirements needed. We also got feedback from our collaboration group before proceeding to our Publication Rough Draft. After creating the rough draft, we had our collaboration group peer review it using a rubric or criteria that we decided on. The final project that we would work on together would be the Media Project. Our group decided to create a podcast. We named in InnovatED. On our podcast we shared summaries of our publications to grasp the hearts and attention of educators that might be considering incorporating more technology into their classrooms.

EDLD 5318: Instructional Design 

I created a 6 week course designed for teachers and staff at the High School level that want to create an educational e-portfolio. For the second assignment I created a preview of what my course will be like by explaining the START HERE component as well as the 1st and 2nd module. The video explained what each week's topic included, such as documents and videos and learning goals regarding the course. To finish the course off, I reflected on the process and included feedback from 3 stakeholders regarding my course usability.
