Media Project

When I think of media, I think of entertainment. Have you ever read a book, and then a movie was made about it soon after? Yes, of course, there are times when the book is way better than the movie, however, sometimes the movie just helps us see/hear a vision that we only had in our heads. Media can help people see your vision if used correctly. Below, is the explanation of my media project and the process to execute it.

Collaboration

My group consisted of Robyn, Mistee and Tosha. Although we all had super busy schedules, we decided a podcast would be the best option for us. We would all jump on zoom calls to discuss our plan to complete the media project. We decided we needed a script in order to stay on track with our topics. Once the script was created on a Google Doc, we would all to it. When it was time to record, we all got on a zoom meeting and took turns talking about our publications and introducing each other when our turns were over. After each of us finished our portion, we took turns on offering advice to teachers that plan on incorporating more technology.  Once our session was over, we took the recorded content and edited it on iMovie and Canva. We are happy with how it turned out.

Why a Podcast?

Even though we were very busy, and our topics were different, we decided that combining and creating a podcast together would be the best option to capture the hearts of other educators and give many different perspectives and ideas surrounding Ed Tech.  The title of the podcast is InnovatED, in honor of our innovation plans in educational technology. As educators, we knew our audience would more than likely be other educators. We liked the idea of a podcast so that anyone listening would be able to hear the passion in our voices. We were intentional with our words and were sure to be informative while speaking to their hearts. If you would like to hear our podcast CLICK BELOW!
